The iSesamo tool is substituted for a plastic razor once the adhesive has started to split. The new tool is worked around the back cover, separating it from the mid-frame. The fingerprint scanner should then be detached from the now separate parts.
The spludger will pry and detach the upper antenna and wireless charging assembly. The lower antenna assembly should now be free to remove.
The same must be done for the sensor array cable. Once disconnected, it is safe to detach the LCD/ digitizer connector. This cable is solely in charge of the touchscreen and display, so be extra care is needed.
The antenna cables which connects between both the motherboard and daughterboard/charging port must now be disconnected. These are prone to snagging if pulled or moved with force, an issue that could occur with an cable or ribbon within this device.

After the motherboard has been fitted and connected to the daughterboard/charging port, both the antennas and LCD/digitizer ribbon can be reconnected to the central motherboard.
Both the sensor cable and battery can be reconnected to the motherboard. Be careful when plugging the ribbons back into the sockets, if pressed in the centre when reconnecting there is a major chance of bending and breaking the component.
Once all of the ribbons and cables are reconnected to the motherboard, the lower antenna assembly can be screwed back into place. The assembly also doubles up as a cover for the daugtherboard and charging port.
Before the repair can continue, a screen test must be performed. The test includes dragging an app around the screen and checking all letters on a keypad to identify any dead pixels or blemishes in the screen.
Now the tests have been completed, the upper antenna/wireless charging will be secured back into place using the 14 screws used in the previous assembly.
